Well I've been here as a member on AFF for years and years LOL. I didn't realize you had this section until tonight so I figured I'd let you all know that you made my life. Yep, that's true..my LIFE. It went a little something like this....
He was from Eastern Canada, single and wanting a relationship/marriage/kids etc. and I was living in Washington State in the U.S, divorcing, and not wanting anything but a physical relationship. The second week of June 1999, we "bumped" into each other in the clean room. He was fun. Made me laugh. He was different. We talked solely on AFF for a few weeks and I found myself popping on every chance I got just to see if he was there. So I finally asked if I could IM him. We started emailing, IMing and talking on the phone constantly (it's amazing how much you can learn about a person when you talk to them 14 hours straight LOL). On July 30 (about 7 weeks after bumping into each other in the clean room), he proposed online. We both had some reservations still but hey, who doesn't? He was between jobs and we decided he should come out to live with me and my son. It wasn't easy before he got there. His friends gave him millions of reasons why he shouldn't come down...number one being that I could be an ax murderer. My friends weren't any happier. Yep, they thought HE was the ax murderer and I was nuts for letting him come into my home. He did, indeed, make it to Washington State and our time together was electric. From the moment we met, I never wanted him to leave and he didn't want to leave. We got married on the day we had picked (November 30)...and shortly thereafter moved to Canada to start our new life. We had a son in 2001 and plan to have another one in the not-to-distant future. I'm not saying it was easy cause it wasn't. I'm not saying this type of thing happens all the time, cause it doesn't. I'm saying that our story started here...and we have over 4 years of wonderful memories because of it (and many more to come). I love this man more today than when I married him and I'd just like to say Thank You.
